Trail Description:
Ashworth Park Trails are great weekend trail. Nothing too serious, just some good, and at times slightly challenging fun. Lots of dips, fallen trees, and some creek fording involved. Great trails.

How to get there:
From Des Moines take Grand Ave. going east, turn at the old science center/art center and proceed down to the trail head of the Great Western Trail. You can't miss the several dirt walking trails that lead into it. Loops in and out so it's impossible to get lost, always dumps onto the great western trail.

Always lock your car, and be more careful after dark, as the old science center building has seen so
