From Gateway Park, cross the river and take the Cedar Prairie Trail south. In just a few miles, you'll be passing fields of corn shimmering in the sunlight. The path travels over gently rolling hills, crosses Ridgeway Avenue and passes the Soccer Complex, then enters the Katoski Greenbelt, a beautiful, tree-lined path beside Black Hawk Creek. This trail does loop back to Gateway Park by following the Sergeant Road trail and connecting with the South Riverside Trail.

How to get there:
The trailhead is at the Main Street Bridge and Lincoln Street (Gateway Park). The other trailhead is at the corner of Sergeant Road (Highway 63) near Shaulis Road. This trail connects at this point to the Sergeant Road Trail. By going southwest on Sergeant Road (Highway 63), the trail also connects to the Shaulis Road Trail.
