First you should park at the PCT parking lot next to Boreal ski resort. Go under Interstate 80 and continue up that dirt road. Take a left on Hole in the Ground trail. You start out with a pretty long climb but seems to go by quickly. Then you get to do some insane flat/downhill singletrack that is super fun. You will pass by lower Lola Montez lake which is nice to take a quick swim if your feeling tired. Follow the signs that say "trail", the trails are pretty obvious. After you cross a river you will begin to climb very gradually over some rolling hills. Take a right on the paved road. You will meet up with I-80 and you will then cross it and go up Donner Pass road, then take a left onto a gravel road which has a sign that says headquarters, central sierra snow labs, locally known as Snow Lab road. You will end up where you began the epic ride!
How to get there:
Take the Castle Peak/Boreal Ridge Road exit off of I 80, follow the signs for the pacific crest trailhead.
This ride is very fun if you like technical up and downhill. Not recommended for beginners.
