Ride Summary:
Tough climbs, alpine lakes, great views, and great riding.
Trail Description:
Glidden Pass is one of the most beautiful trails in the area. It starts with a scenic and fast decent to Glidden Creek and then a paved road. Go up the road for about 2 miles then begin your 1,000 foot climb up some very challenging singletrack. From here the trail is easy to follow and will lead you back to the beginning after 12 spectacular miles. Along this loop you will pass beautiful alpine lakes and some spectacular vistas. Bring your camera. It's well worth it.
How to get there:
From Coeur d'Alene go East on I-90 to Wallace, about 50 miles. Then go North on Hwy 4 to Burke. In Burke follow Forest Road 7623 to Cooper pass and the trailhead
Additional Notes:
Burke is not a big town. Load up on supplies before leaving. Most of the trail is in Montana.
