Trail Description:
Four trails of approximately 7-8 miles each on Lake McMurtry near Stillwater, OK and Oklahoma State University. Trails built and maintained by the Red Dirt Pedalers, a local bike club, and the Oklahoma State University Mountain Bike Club.

There are two trails on each side of the lake, each with a slightly different character. The SE trail serves as the race course for the annual Lake McMurtry Madness mountain bike race, sponsored by the Red Dirt Pedalers.

How to get there:
East Side: Take Boomer Road (HW 177) North of town past go cart tracks and golf course. Go left (West) on McMurtry road for 8 miles or so, until you can only go left or right. Go left. The SE trailhead is at the S end of the park at a picnic shelter. The NE trailhead is slightly north of the boatramp almost around the bend.

West Side: Take 6th street (HW 51) West out of town approximately 5 miles to Redlands road. Chickasaw Communications has a building on the NW corner of Redlands and HW 51, back from the road. Turn right (North) on Redlands road and follow it for 3 miles until you can only go left or right. Go left. Follow the road for about a half mile and take a right when you see the sign for the entrance to Lake McMurtry. Follow the winding road to a three way intersection and take a right. Follow this road for a few hundred feet to a four way stop. The NW trailhead is on the SW corner of the four way stop. The SW trailhead is on the SE corner of the four way stop.

Additional Notes:
Helmet and functional brakes required. $5 day use fee per car.
