Trail Description:
The Carnation Railroad Grade like all railroad grades is an easy ride. There is no noticeable elevation gain. The wide gravel trails along with the relatively flat ride makes this a great ride for beginners and family outings. The more skilled riders will also enjoy this trail because of the singletrack that branches off from the main trail throughout the ride. These singletrack trails are heavily used by horses so they are fairly chewed up and make for difficult riding in places.
How to get there:
Drive North on HWY 203 to Carnation. Take the second right after passing the high school onto East Entiwisile St. After about a mile you will see a small parking lot on the right and the trail. Once on the trail, go south. The trail goes to the North as well, but there is much more trail and scenery to the south.
Additional Notes:
There are some spur singletrack trails here that are fun for the intermediate rider, but not enough miles to make it a destination.
