Trail Description:
This is a brand new trail just finished construction on in the spring of 2009. It is a mixture of Single Track, Downhill and Freeriding. The whole 1.2 km of Upper & Lower Psychosis consists of Gravity fed Single Track with features such as ladder bridges, skinnys, steeps, burms and drops. Lower Psychosis has the largest drop on the trail and is only recommended for advanced riders. This trail needs to be riden to get it packed down and to keep it from growing in.
How to get there:
From Athabasca, head south on Highway 2 then turn west on highway 663. Once you reach the Westlock county sign, there will be an opening just off the road to the south. Thats where you can park and unload. To get to the trailhead, you need to go west on the highway agin for 200 feet. On the right will be an open hill, its a short hike up to top and the beginning of the trail. (The short hike is worth it!) The trail comes out to a cutline and all you need to do is take a left and its a short ride back to where you parked.
Additional Notes:
Please respect the trails, dont leave any garbage and have fun!
