Trail Description:
All of this ride is above 6000 feet and passes through alpine meadows and past a sparkling mountain lake. The views of the North Cascades are spectacular and the riding is moderately technical.
Follow the Freezeout Ridge Trail for approx. 4 miles to it's junction with the Tiffany Lake Trail.
Turn left on the Tiffany Lake Trail and follow it for about five miles to Tiffany Spring Campground.
Turn left on Forest Service Road 39 and ride back to Freezeout Ridge and your car.
How to get there:
From Winthrop, head north on the East Chewuch Road. Just before the bridge over the Chewuch River, bear right onto Forest Service Road 37. Follow Forest Service Road 37 to it's junction with Forest Service Road 39 and bear left onto road 39. Follow this road to Freezout Ridge and the trail head for the Freezeout Ridge Trail. Park here. Continue past entrance to state park, the road turns to dirt here. Take the first left turn you come to. Follow road for about 2.5 miles until you come to a large marshy pond. Park here.
