Ride Summary:
Half and half single track and jeep trails. A short loop but lots of fun.

Trail Description:
Technical single track due to rooty sections and rolling jeep trails. The loop is short enough to do twice. Total mileage would only be 16 miles. This trail is a good workout for racers or a easy enough ride for families. The horse flies are huge! They bite so watch out for them. This trail is also a great ride after the sun goes down.

How to get there:
From Huntsville head south on I-45. Follow brown park signs on freeway to park.

From late arrival parking enter trail approx. 50 yards towards freeway. Follow jeep trail for 2 miles and take second right onto hiking trail. There is a sign here. Follow single track to next jeep road. Turn left (no bikes on trail above spillway). Turn right at end of jeep trail.

Stay on main jeep trail until it ends at utility station. Turn left then take the first right to the interpretive center. Cross road and enter bike trail (maps available here). Follow single track to jeep trail. Take a left back to parking or a right to start single track loop again.

Alternatively, park at interpretive center (just past ranger's office/entrance gate). Enter trail at sign across road (maps). Follow single track to jeep trail and turn right. Take first right at hiking trail sign and follow directions above. This loop is 6+ miles long.

Additional Notes:
Entrance fee or Texas Park Passport required.
