Trail Description:
A really stiff climb out of the valley, but the view is well worth it. There are many ways down this jewel, from a walk in the park, all the way up to losing your lunch down the very front (no trail, just steep).
Bring tonnes of water in the summer, it's an exposed climb, no shade. The temp often goes over 100 f. in the hot months.
How to get there:
Drive out on Tranquille Rd. to the old pond, on your right the road keeps going on to Red Lake, take it, but stop at the first gate on your right, park here.
The climb is right in front of you up the fire road. Count three concrete barriers on your right, and take the road behind the third one. The road will go though
a gate about half way up the climb... good rest spot. Then the climb becomes BRUTAL. Everybody walks it....
