Trail Description:
This is a long ride up to Lockett Meadow and then back down to your car. It is not a difficult ride as most of the riding is on dirt or jeep roads but the climbing will kick you into shape. The start of the trail is across the road from Schultz Tank on Schultz Pass Road. Start on the jeep road, Freidlein Prairie road, through Orion Spring up to Snow Bowl Rd. Turn right on Snow Bowl rd and climb for about 5 miles to Mile post 5.5. Take a right onto a rough double track. Ride down for about 2miles to Hart Praire road where you will take a right. After the climbing for approximately 5 miles on this graded dirt road you will come to an T junction with FS 418. Turn right on FS 418 and ride 10 miles to Lost Tank near Hwy 89A. Take a right all the way up to Lockett Meadow. At the top of the loop follow the trail to FS 146 (Waterline Rd). Take a left down the Fire road for a great downhill back to Schultz Pass rd and your car.

How to get there:
The trail head is located about 5.7 miles up Schultz Pass Rd across Schultz Tank. Schultz Pass Rd is 2 miles North of Flagstaff along Hwy 180
