Trail Description:
To start, head to the junction by the Idaho City school, turn left and follow the signs to Centerville. The pavement ends and becomes USFS road #307 (dirt road). You will climb up the wash-board prone road for roughly 3.5 miles to a summit. Keep your eyes peeled for the sign that says "land fill" and turn left at the sign. Follow the road for about 100 feet or so and look for a yellow caution sign on one of the pine trees. The single track starts here and descends 1.5 miles through a Charcoal Gulch. Stay on the main trail and watch out for other trail users. The trail runs into a dirt road at mile 5. Turn left and spin back to town. You will ride past the local airport after a .5 mile and then you will hit the town in another .5 mile.
How to get there:
Take Idaho 21 out of Boise, heading east to Idaho City. Park at the Visitor's Center, the school or somewhere in town.
