A beautiful ride on rolling trails.

Trail Description:
Located in the Shawangunk Mountains, the trail winds between two lakes. The largest of the two, Lake Awosting, has a beach to cool off in, and several places to stop for a picnic, or to just enjoy the view. This is a gentle introduction to mountain biking perfect for your ride with a significant other who does not have much time in the saddle.

How to get there:
Take exit 18 off the Thruway, left onto 299 west. Go through town and continue until 299 ends (~6 miles). Make a right onto NY 44/55. You will drive up a hill, wind around, and see the first entrance at about 4 miles. The second parking lot is a little further down on the left. Parking is four dollars (includes trail map).
