Ride Summary:
A woodsy rolling path on singletrack and horse trails. Several loops can be done to extend the ride or follow other trails and explore.

Trail Description:
The ride starts on a park road near the office. Turn right off the entrance road through a gate. Look for the horse trail marking to indicate start of the trail. At 1.2 miles turn left off the Mt. Calvert horse trail on to the Chapman trail. At 1.6 miles go through a gate and turn right on to the park ride. Turn left on Lonesome Pine Trail and at 2 miles turn right at the trail intersection. At the next intersection turn right staying on Lonesome Pine. When you get to Croom Airport Rd turn left on the road and look for the horse trail crossing sign on the left. At 2.7 go right on to the Half Pone trail. 3.2 cross a jeep trail continuing on Half Pone. Keep following Half Pone as it loops around and comes out at Croom Airport Rd again. Pass a gate on the right and at 4.9 miles head off the road back into the woods. Go through a trail intersection and at 6 miles turn right on to the park entrance road and head back to the park office.

How to get there:
From the Beltway take exit 11 East on route 4. At just over 6 miles exit left on to Crain Highway heading South. Quickly turn left on Croom Station Rd. then left on Croom Airport Rd. Take a left on to the park entrance road. Follow this to the park office.
