Trail Description:
There are two main fire roads that are the starting points for this ride. One goes up a fairly easy dirt road along Carson Canyon and the other crosses a bridge and heads up a long and steep climb to Sunrise Pass. From both roads, there are several other trail off-shoots that are worth exploring.
How to get there:
From Carson City, take HWY 50 East to Deer Run road. Turn right and park at the Carson River. The trailhead is on the Southeast side of the bridge and heads up a dirt road.
