This 26 mile bike ride may seem short to some, but to others can be considered an all day event. From the parking lot of the visitor center head right up a hill on Park Loop road for 3 miles then leading to a smaller road that leads you to Sieur de Monts Spring. (From here you can take a 3 mile side trip to the top of Dorr Mountain) Following the same road over rolling hills there are many other trail heads where you can explore the beautiful attractions of Acadia National Park. You can visit Sand Beach, Otter Point, Jordan Pond (you may want to stop off for lunch here), Eagle Lake, and Bubble rock. Signs for each of these trails are present at the trail head. Depending on what kind of a ride you want you can take a side trip to Cadillac Mountain, which summits at 1,530 feet (the highest point in the park). The road climbs steadily gaining 1,000 over 3.5 miles at a 5.5% grade.

How to get there:
From Bar Harbor head right to the Visitor Center where the ride begins.

Additional Notes:
There are several other rides on Mount Desert Island including Jordan pond to Sommes sound a, Grand Tour, and Carriage Road.
