At mile .2, at the bottom of the hill, follow the path to the right along the South Run stream. The path comes to the power lines at mile .4. Turn left and cross the South Run stream. Head south on the trail under the power lines. The power lines cross Chapel Oak Court and Oak Bridge Place at mile .8. Follow this to Ox Road. Cross Ox Road (Route 123) and continue on the power line trail. At mile 1.2 the trail comes to a gas pipeline. Cross the pipeline and continue straight. At mile 2 the trail passes an enormous power station on the left. Turn right onto Hampton Road at mile 2.7. Follow the paved road toward Fountainhead Park. Fountainhead Park is on the left at mile 4.9 and is good place to stop and have a snack. Continue on Hampton Road to Henderson Road at mile 6.3. Turn right onto Henderson Road. At mile 7.1 Henderson Road intersects Windermere Lane. Turn off the road by the brick English Hills subdivision sign, and hop onto the equestrian trail that parallels the right side of Henderson Road. Follow the trail to Ox Road (Route 123). At mile 8.3 cross Ox Road on the Single Track trail directly across from Henderson Road (Look to the right of the yellow directional sign. The trail starts there). The trail comes to a fork at mile 8.4, turn right. At mile 8.6 the trail comes to the Burke Lake Dam. Turn right and cross the dam. Once you cross the dam, turn right on the paved trail that goes away from the lake. This path takes you back to South Run Park (you can turn left here and ride around the lake on the dirt path to add another 5 miles to your journey). The path goes under Lee Chapel Road at mile 9.7. At mile 9.9, cross the power lines and continue following the path. At mile 10.1 the ride returns to the South Run parking lot.

Turn right onto the parkway and go .3 miles and then turn left into the South Run Park. Parking, water, phones, toilets, and showers are available at the park.
