Ride Summary:
A quick short ride with lots of zip and speed. The ride starts with a moderate-climb on a well maintained logging road and then descends on single track.

Trail Description:
From the campground, ride back up to Road 33. Go left and head up valley on this busy road for about 0.2 miles. After turning left on Road 3330 the trail begins to descend. Once across Taneum Creek the road begins a long, steady climb up the hillside. Gooseberry Flat Trail No. 1222 will be on the right (a sign denoting the trail entrance). Head down the trail enjoying a smooth tread, interspersed with an occasional rocky section to ensure you don't get too relaxed. The descent is moderate to very steep with a couple of dives to ensure a steady flow of adrenaline. After crossing a logging road the trail continues down at hair raising speed to the bottom until you reach the Icewater Campground entrance.

How to get there:
Drive Interstate 90 east of Cle Elum. Leave the freeway to Exit 93 (signed Elk Heights Rd.) Go left, cross the freeway then head to the right following signs to Taneum Creek. At about half a mile turn right at a "T" intersection. Turn right and head east, paralleling Interstate 90 for 3.6 miles to the next freeway overpass. Re-cross Interstate 90 and go right on Taneum Creek Road, which becomes Forest Road 33. Drive up Taneum Creek for 8.6 miles, then turn left onto Icewater Campground. Park near the entrance or down by Taneum Creek.

Additional Notes:
A very exhilarating ride!
