VASA Trail Network
The VASA singletrack loop is to be ridden in a counter clockwise direction. The trail is very well marked so the real task is finding the trailhead!
Other trails of note are the VASA cross-country trails. They begin on the other side of the network at the Acme Township Park off Bartlett Road. These to are easily marked. They are wider trails and more suited to beginner riders. There are 2 options, either the 11km (6.8 mi.) or 25 km (15.5) loops.
Maybe the real highlight of VASA is the extensive network of unmarked trails. These trails spider through the property and conservatively offer another 30 miles of trail.
How to get there:
To find the VASA Singletrack Loop it's a little more tricky. It's about 5 miles South of Acme Township Park. From Traverse City head North on US 31. Five Mile Road will be on your right, before Bunker Hill Road. Follow this until you reach Hammond Road, take a right. Turn left on High Lake Road and then a right onto Supply Road. Follow this for several miles. At a Y, stay left as the road bends right and start looking for the sign indicating the VASA Singletrack Loop.
