Trail Description:
This is not an Epic or really hard ride (although you will need some good skills!!). The directions are VERY easy. You should not have a problem at all finding everything. Grab your bike and start riding up the North fork road (the one you came in on). You will want to take the first left (at about a half of a mile). and follow that road for about 2.5 miles. At about 3 miles you will come to another intersection. Continue to go left and uphill (although the steepest is over). At mile 4.5 you reach the trail head (it is well marked as Taneum Ridge Trail. Take a right on the trial. The trail is Very FAST!!!! and in some places skill is need to manuver the little woop-dee-doos. There are a lot of banked corners. The entire trail is less then 10 miles with only about 1500 feet of climbing, BUT IT IS FUN!!! We call it the Perma-grin because you cannot help but smile on your way down!! Once you are on the trail follow it all the way down (it is almost impossibe for you to get lost) to your car. The trail will spit you out RIGHT where you parked. Now, if you can, whipe that smile off your face!! ENJOY THE RIDE!

How to get there:
Continue driving east on I-90 after passing Cle Elum. Take the Elk Hights Road Exit. Take a left across the interstate and follow the road for about a half of a mile. Turn east (right) at the "T" intersection and follow that road (you are now paralleling I-90) for about 4 miles. After about 4 miles you will want to re-cross the interstate and take a right at the "T". You should now be going west on Taneum Creek road, which will turn into a one lane paved road (forest road 33) after a while. You want to continue driving west for about 10 miles, to a spur road off to the left, which is well marked as North Fork Taneum Creek. After turning left, cross and Creek and park.
