Trail Description:
From the parking area next to the I-15 freeway, you ride the two-way paved trail under the freeway to the Lakeside trail head. You can either go left and stay on the fire road or make a short but steep climb up to the Escondido City sewer right of way. This is all dirt and much less crowded that the fire road. Take this until you see a single track that dips into a grove. Watch out for poisin oak. Its all along the single track. This single track will take you through a small water crossing to another short but steep climb. More single track fun. Follow the single track, it drops you back on the fire road. Follow the fire road down to the lake parking area. You're half way, turn around and ride back the way you came.

How to get there:
Via Rancho Parkway exit off 15 north. This trailhead is just east of the freeway behind the Shell and Chevron stations
