Trail Description:
Good climb not technical except occasional rocks, great views at the top, can connect with birch creek road and Gov't Mountain Road to make loops, a little way up Gov't Mtn Road you can connect with McKay Grade, Mormon Grade, Pikes Peak Road and farther on the North Fork Walla Walla River Trail

How to get there:
Take Howard Street south until you reach a 4 way intersection with Cottonwood Road (not Cottonwood Creek Road) turn right onto Cottonwood Road, then a bit down the road turn right on to Hood road go south and stop when it turns right ride left instead onto a gravel road, follow this road for about 2 miles until you see a sign in front of a fairly steep climb that says road Primitive Road, closed Sept 15 - March 15, that is the begining of cottonwood creek road

It was a waste of time because the directions are so bad. I drove around for an hour trying to find it. :P Never did.

Go down Howard and turn LEFT onto Cottonwood!
