This ride is easily accessible. It follows a lightly traveled jeep road to a large mine ruin on a high point with commanding views.

How to get there:
From Denver, follow I-70 west for 65 miles to the Frisco exit. Follow Highway 9 for ten miles to Breckenridge. From Main Street and Ski Hill Road, drive south on Main to the end of town and turn left on Boreas Pass Road. At the top of the first big climb -- by the Breckenridge Athletic Club -- turn left and uphill on Baldy Road. Drive one mile until you intersect Road 2651. Park here off the road.

This is a good beginner trail. If you want a little longer and more scenic ride you can park in Breckenridge on the North end of town. Take Wellington Rd to French Gulch Rd. headed East. This will take you by the Country Boy mine and other mine sites on a winding dirt rd. The road will slowly curve until you are headed south. You will eventually comme to a fork in the rd. Take the right fork which heads downhill a little ways and eventually swings back headed west where you begin a climb up to the mine. You can then bomb off the top headed west down a partially maintained dirt road and back into some neighborhoods. From here you can take a paved road back to town, or you can choose any of a number of singletrack trails runing through the trees such as Moonstone.

this trail is not in Denver. Breckenridge (1.5 hours away from Denver) would be a little more accurate
