Trail Description:
Nice woodsy singletrack with a few field edge sections. Fun water crossings and a couple "walk the bike down" novice "mountains". Deer and bird sightings (lot's of Red-tailed Hawks) abound. This is a great place to learn, don't hesitate to take ANYONE here, and it provides a few technical sections for those who can.
How to get there:
From Somerville, south on Rt. 206 to Amwell Rd.(514)east. Cross bridge into East Millstone and look for Canal Rd. (firehouse) immediatly over the bridge on right. Follow to Blackwells Mills Rd. stop sign, go across and it's about 200 ft on the left. You can also find an entrance on Rt. 27 in Franklin just north of Cortelyous Rd.
Additional Notes:
These trails are part of the D&R Canal park system with access to the canal about 100 feet away. Tr

Buildings are quite expensive and not every person can buy it. Nevertheless, loan was invented to aid different people in such hard situations.

I wouldn't classify this as a beginner's trail. Although the blue trail is an easier ride than the red once they intersect and you're on that red trail you're in for some challenging terrain.I have yet to ride all the trails but I really like this this place and plan on exploring all it has to offer. Those man made obstacles are great fun!

Love this place, lots of very windy
trails through packed trees, lots of
steep inclines and declines, water
crossings, very easy to lose your sense
of direction so if you have Gps it
helps. There are rarely hikers, so I
say go rogue and bike wherever you want.
Place is a blast and you can spend all
day there getting lost in the woods.
Great trail for beginners and advanced.

your directions stink. You have to take a right onto market street to find your way around the bend to Canal Road on your right. Then take about 2.5 miles to the parking lot on your left. The trails were pretty good. I hit some narrow spots and really got scratched up but blood and mud go together...

This is a fun place for an afternoon. Not likely to get hurt beyond a few scratches. So, take the newbies. I think the total trail system is nearly 20 miles. The park is split into two sections and most people don't get over to the Eastern half.
