This is the Official 24Hour course for the popular 24 hours of Adrenaline Series Race held in the area.

THE LOOP: After passing thru the campgrounds, you will come to a gate you have to zig-zag thru, roughly 40yards from the gate you will make a hard switchback left onto a singletrack(tracked)...follow this up a technical climb to a fireroad, go left and keep right at the gate onto another singletrack, this will loop around and thru a huge valley, keep to the main path(tracked) After a short grunt you will come to another fireroad, go left. you will climb to a gate(unlocked)pass thru and SHUT THE GATE!!!! Shortly after you will see a huge oak tree and a faint trail to the right, here the fun starts. Take this trail to another fireroad go right and downhill, and at the "T" section make a hard left and shoot straight down to the creek. Cross and up a very technical section, then a descent much the same, keep to this trail until it comes to another "T" section and go left. After passing thru another gate(CLOSE IT!)

several doubletracks lead to the road where u go right and back to where your parked....

How to get there:
Hurkey Creek Campgrounds is near Idyllwild and Hemet Lake on Hiway74 about 5miles east of Mountain Center and Hiway243. Look for signs indicating the campgrounds and/or Apple Canyon Rd.

Additional Notes:
If you do NOT have an adventure pass, park in the campgrounds, its only $2. Otherwise park anywhere

I agree Hurkey Creek trail rocks! I rode Aliso Wood Canyon trails last weekend, and the downhills (Rock-it), didn't compare to the downhills here.

This trail rocks. There is a reason the 24hrs of Adrenalin guys chose this trail for one of their races and have held the 24rh solo championship here. The camp ground is also fantastic - clean, fiendly, hot showers ....

This was a great ride! For a group of eight, we had ever level of rider. A hired guide showed us a great time for a humble price. There is some great single track on the back side of the loop which we made. We pushed the loop up into Idyllwild for a lunch break. It ended up as a 23 mile ride taking about 5.5 hours. Remember we had some beginners with us, so your ride may be faster. Good Luck and I highly recommend this ride. The rangers were really friendly too!
