Trail Description:
This is a good workout on some fun trails. A lot of up for the first 1.2 miles then 2 fast rolling relatively level single track loops. If you live in Tacoma, Sumner, Puyallup, etc. you'll enjoy this ride.
From the Pking lot go between the tennis courts and the creek to find the wide trail. Follow this trail into the forest past a gate until it ends at an abandon building (.4 mi). Turn right onto the single track trail. Follow this thru a boggy area, across a small creek, thru a washout section, and up the first hill. The trail levels then climbs again past a few other trails. At about .9 miles you will descend to a hairpin left turn. Don't go straight up the very
steep trail. Go left again at 1.1 miles after the steepest hill and FINALLY reach a clearing at 1.2 miles. From this clearing you can ride 2 loops that stay up on this plateau.
Go straight for the 1.1 mile loop. This trail goes past Fruitland Elementary School at .2 miles. Follow this twisty turny fast trail always staying on the main trail.(When in doubt, go right) At .9 miles look for a right turn that goes uphill. Follow this until you hit a T
at 1.1 miles. Go left back to the clearing.
Loop 2 goes left up the short hill. At the top of this little hill bear right and begin the loop. At .3 miles go left.If you go straight you'll come out on a street. This loop returns to the clearing.
Now do them backwards!! These loops are lots of fun. The hard work is getting up to them.
When you're done retrace your route back to the parking lot.
How to get there:
Decoursey Park is located on 7th Ave SW in Puyallup, WA. Park at Decoursy Park near the ball fields.
Additional Notes:
If you hear gunfire, don't worry -- the Puyallup Police have a firing range across
the creek.

Decent trails. recommend going when dry... lots of slippery roots. I found out the hard way. Directions above are pretty good. There is another entrance at the top of the trails from the road (There is a painted arrow on the street).

If you follow the trail to the left and go out to 96th street and follow the road to the corner where the cement barriers are blocking the trail. Some crazy mofo has been working on the trail and it is slowly looking like it may have potential, small jumps and some tree crossings. Not bad check it, boo ya cah shaw....

I am only a 2nd year rider, but I find many parts of this trail system quite challenging. Yes, there are some easy parts up top, but the skinny trail heading down to the park is a little risky. I definately recommend riding in the summer and fall months. You will end up walking through mud if you ride in the spring or winter. As for those sick jumps, who built them? Who rode them? And why are they gone?

By the way, who was riding those hellacious dirt jumps hidden in the trees? Too bad they flattened them!

Good afternoon fun, I ride it twice for good exercise. It's awesome that it's so close to my house.

I'm just a beginner, but it was a fun, safe, simple trail, a little confusing at times but other than the almost lost thing AWESOME. Theres this sweet down hill that criss cross' the main trail and goes clear down and over the creek and you get out in downtown puyallup near the fairgrounds. fun stuff

The Trail is pretty fun, however there are many dead fish along the Creek which ultimately makes the trail nasty... It is a fun place to go to with family and animals for a picnic but thats it.

Its a good trail to hit for a quicky. If you explore enough you'll find some decent trails.
