Trail Description:
First you start on a pavement road for about 200 yards. then go across a bridge and turn to your left and go along the dirt road up a canyon for a bout .5-1 mile. when you get to tumalo falls check it out, then head back down the parking lot and you will see a dirt trail to your right. if you go over a bridge youve gone too far. follow the singletrack until it takes you back up to the place you started from (parking lot) then go back on the pavement (the same way you went before, except turn right this time up the dirt road. follow this road for a while until you come to a gated forest service road (dont worry, its ok to cross it). follow that road (you will come to a few intersections, but stay to the left).if you went the right way you will come to another gated road...cross it. keep going down this road and watch out for a singletrack trail on your right, it comes out of nowhere. follow it. go across the river bed and follow some more (stay on the single track or you will get lost). after a while, the trail will stop at a T intersection on a dirt road. go across to the intersecting road and to your right will be some more single track. follow it and you will come to a steep, technical part. go down and follow some more (staying to the left) and there will be another technical part and then you will come to a dirt road. go left and you will see some singletrack...take it. follow this until you get to shevlin park.
How to get there:
In Bend take Skyliners road west until you get to a parking area (well signed).
Additional Notes:
The trail makes kind of like a needle shaped path. hard to follow but cool singletrack

Don't worry about the directions here, they are not
good, rather find yourself the cota map/check their
website to, central oregon trail alliance for all your
navigation needs. Don't let the frustrated riders
and their poor ratings mislead, this is an awesome
trail and connects to a bunch of diverse loop
options in some of Oregons nicest country. enjoy
this is sweet riding!

great ride. from tumalo falls, you can either ride up the north fork trail(uphill only), where you'll pass about 7 waterfalls. Or you can ride up the farewell trail, which has great views of broken top and the three sisters complex. either climb involves about 1000 ft elevation gain. you'll hit the mrazek trail at the top and head right(east). from there, it's fun gradual downhill with some sweet rocky sections at the bottom just before you hit shevlin park. about 16-22 miles depending on where you start and finish. hope this helps

Take off downhill to the right. The trail now is rocky, as it descends out to an overlook of Tumalo Canyon . The path narrows, as you zip through manzanita and go through numerous short ups and downs before coming to a small bridge over a creek. The trail follows the creek for a short ways, coming out into a gravel road with a vehicle bridge over the creek. You can see some rapids in the creek below, with a sign to Swampy Lakes . Take the gravel road to the left, and follow it around to the Tumalo Falls viewpoint. The falls is very picturesque, and you can drive to it if you want to.
From here, you can take a short jaunt up to the top of the falls, or branch out to numerous other trails. There is a map posted to show you where the trails are. I had dinner plans, so I decided to turn back at this point. Just follow the path back to the trailhead. Don’t let the 200-foot elevation gain number fool you. Although there may only be that much gain f
