Trail Description:
Wakely Lake area consists of 3 loops that are 4.5, 5 and 7 miles in length. The terrain is well-suited for the novice/intermediate with rolling hills. Wakely Lake is a gem -- one of the most scenic courses you'll find in the Grayling area. The trail winds around the lake, with nice overlooks and vistas. Very fast course with some sandy spots but overall it's worth going around a couple times in one outing. Look for the loons on the lake.

How to get there:
Take M-72 east from Grayling for 11-13 miles. Look for Wakely Lake sign on left side of road. Need special park sticker to park.

Trail is sandy (as most seem to be around Greyling area) singletrack for S and W area and grassy/sandy vehicle path (double ruts) for E and N area. Not terribly steep but long steady climbs in sand make for good workout for beginners.
