Trail Description:
A nice mix of trails that offer something for everyone. The scenery is amazing so be sure to take breaks and relax with a nice view. The user density is fairly high as it is a popular area with hikers, bikers and horse riders, so ride with caution. Beginners will appreciate the trails as they are flat and root free. As you ride these trails you'll notice that they are wide singletrack. Again, this is a good place for beginners and they won't be intimidated by the trail.

The 40-kilometre trail system is organized along three major trails, which are complemented by 10 other trails, providing visitors with access to almost every part of the valley. The conservation area is bisected by one of the region's most important walking, cycling and equestrian routes - the West Hamilton to Brantford Rail Trail, which stretches 32 kilometres (20 miles), from Ewen Road in Hamilton to Mohawk Park in Brantford.

How to get there:
Dundas Valley Conservation Area is located 35 minutes south of Toronto off 403.

Additional Notes:
ADMISSION $5 per vehicle, Walk In/Hike In/Bike In: $2 Phone: (905) 627-1233; Fax: (905) 648-4622

Rode this trail, NOTHING is technical - but great cardio trails. HATE the loose deep gravel, but other than than, nice clean trails to build up some serious speed. Rode during the week, so the trail was virtually empty. As for the $2 for parking - get off your wallet you cheap #@%!. Still prefer Short Hills or even Brock & the 12 mile creek valley in St. Catharines. Just my $0.02.

Love the trails, price is right. Hills demand your best. People generally get out of the way.

I give it a 3 but I've only been a couple times and there's portions of it I haven't hit yet. For those that say it's not a mountainbike trail, you're wrong. It's for everyone. You must've taken the wrong way or stayed on the railtrail. It's not really technical but there are dirt trails to hit and some pretty good climbing involved too. Great for a beginner...everyone has to start somewhere. It's a decent workout. Also, pay the $2 and don't be a cheap-skate. Stop paying and they'll stop maintaining and adding the new trails in the valley and as well as in other places. What comes around goes around!!

There are some great hills to climb up to get a good aerobic workout. Sometimes the thick gravel is a pain though. Lovely scenery!

hey fellas. I live right near the dundas valley and if your all paying 2 bucks to get in your wasting money. There are a million other ways to get into the valley and not having to worry about paying a toll. If your interested in finding out where they are, and their all legal and easy to get to, put a comment on here and i'll get back to you guys

This trail is a slow walking trail and not a mountain biking trail. It is a complete waste of time and money. Head to Waterdown or Kelso. There fairly close and don't even compare!

Attention Big Jim, Have you noticed how well the trails are looked after in the Dundas Valley area? Don't you think that $2.00 is a minimal fee for such well maintained trails? I have gladly purchased a membership to the Royal Botanical Gardens, which allows me to ride, walk, run, and enjoy this lovely aset to our community. I applaud the RBG for thier excellent work and dedication to OUR trails and I'm sure anyone who comes to visit will agree.

GET OUT OF THE WAY!!! Gravel on trail blows. Oh, look dear its a bird, piss off and move!!!!

Something for everyone indeed! Starting to get a little thick with tree huggers and bird watchers though. Someone needs to stop whatever committee it is that keeps putting gravel on the trails, soon. Also be on the lookout for Ministry guys sitting in pick up trucks getting double time on a Sunday to make sure I put my $2.00 in the collection box. Lay one of them off and sell the truck and 1000 people could ride for free for a long time. Sorry, I digress. Great riding though, if not a little on the crowded side. (a great place to meat fellow riders)
