Trail Description:
A network of dirt trails following a paved/gravel path. Just keep riding to find the good stuff at the end of the path. There are some serious, although short, downhills if you choose to climb. Trail at the top of the embankment or down by the river are best. There is a good mix of technical sections on the river trail with a lot of ups and downs. Are you a mud lover? This is a great mud ride in the spring if that's your bag.
How to get there:
Exit the QEW at Park Road, turn right onto Park Road. Left onto Fairview, Left onto West Street. Follow West Street through town to Brant Ave. Turn Left onto Brant Ave, and go over the Lorne Bridge (veer right to do so). Turn right into the park, and ride under the Lorne Bridge (through the tunnel) Follow the paved path to the trails.

All that I found was a couple of paths that led to nothing and there was no main trail. I might have missed it somewhere but i wasted my time on the paved path looking for accesses but they all led to nothing. Any access points worth riding anyone?

Other than the Gilkison flats area, which is boring... this trail totally blows now, it's all grown in, literally 3 to 4 foot tall weeds, with a 6" path between them, if you like poison ivy and stinging nettle, go for it.

This trail is really overgrown and sucks big time. I went there last year and it was great, this year its a load of crap. Its like someone just quit maintaining the trails all of a sudden. Ride Hardy Road, its the best trail in Brantford. While your in the area try Barker's Bush in Paris. If you need directions to either of these trails the guys at the Brantford Cyclepath are a great help, just go see them.

From what I've herd about the trail this year it has gone down hill. But there are still some riding spot's. 4 years ago it was one of my favorite places to ride but I've yet to go there this year cause of the ground is braking every where. A great substitue is along the grand at Hardy Road to Paris, I rode there 10's more there last year and this year than I have at Tulela! The city needs to keep Tutela groomed and cept up to make it a better place to ride along with adding some bridges!!!!!!...It's still a great place to ride with alot of technical sections!......Keep the Rubber Side Down!!!!
