Elevation Gain: 50 Feet (15 Meters)

Trail Description:
The Pines is a section of land leased by the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority to the local cycling club. There is a nice super fast buffed singletrack loop all through the parcel of land. As you can guess it winds through numerous pines (short bars help a lot) with very tight fast corners. I suggest a visit to the local bike shop, Pedal Power, they can point you in the right direction or hook you up with a ride. This is a fun trail to do with a small group (2 or 3). Connect several of the trails to builld a longer ride.

How to get there:
Highway 401 west to the Woodstock turn off. Turn right at the Blandford Mall and head north. Turn right just before the Innerkip bridge over Pittock Lake. Follow the gravel road for 0.5 of a Km. The trails are on your left.

Additional Notes:
Although this land is leased to the cycling club it is a multi-use area. There are numerous other users so practice good trail etiquette.

A membership for this trail is WAY overpriced considering a membership for Fanshawe,Pittock and Wildwood is part of Upper Thames also and that pass works at all 3 places.A good trail but save your money.

Last post got cut off. Too long sorry. I would like to thank Power Pedal and the Woodstock Cycling Club for all their hardwork and dedication to maintaining and development of this trail. Everyone who rides the trail can definately tell alot of work has gone into this trail. Directions: 401W to exit Regional Rd 2, Go west for 1 km and turn Right on County Rd 4 (Toyota Plant), Travel 4 km and turn Right on Township Rd 4 (gravel rd before the bridge), two entrances on the left hand side

Rode this trail for the first time - in the rain. Absolutely loved everything about the trail. Even with a hard rainfall the trail stayed moderately dry withought getting swampy. There is alot of fast flowing singletrack mixed with some technical downhills. Not many steep hills to tackle. The trail is laid out perfectly. One section has tight turns mixed with technical downhills where roots and rocks are perfectly placed to make you think twice about how you are riding. Once out of this section, you go towards open singletrack in open field where you can get alot of speed. Trail markings were good and I liked that it was one way for the most part. Stumps, rocks and roots make for an interesting time. The membership only part of this trail is a bit discouraging for riders passing through the area. I understand the idea but mountain bike riding should be open to everyone, as long as everyone rides with respect and care for the trail. I would like to thank Power Pedal and the Woodst

Blanford mall isn't there anymore...now it is a huge Toyota plant! You can use the New water tower as a landmark to get off the 401.

Excelent track can get alot of speed in some sections technical climbs excelent signage will definatly be doing it again. Note there is a 3 dollar hounor charge if you park in the club lot and its worth it.

Great trail system. Had the whole place to myself for 2 hours on a Tuesday afternoon. Came away a little scuffed and bruised (there's a tree leaning into the path just past "Wits End" that rang my bell pretty good) but that just makes it more fun. Well worth the $3. Possum Las Vegas, NV
