Trail Description:
A nice mix of trails built by the Guelph Off Road Bicyling Association at the conservation area bearing the same name. The trails wind through senic fields, and by the resivoir that makes up Guelph Lake with wonderful landscape undulations that abound. A nice day trip for a fun ride. It's up to you how long you want to ride but there is definitely a solid day's worth of riding.

How to get there:
Take hwy 6 north from hwy 401 to Speedvale Avenue and turn right. At Woolwich st. turn left, at Marilyn Drive, turn right. Park in the lot and ride north along side the Speed River to the trailhead on the other side of Victoria Road North. If you want to park in the Conservation Area, just follow the signs.

Guelph Lake trails are extremely fun to ride as they are not too technical and there are not many steep climbs. There are many tight turns and switchbacks to ride through near the beginning of the trail, and then when you get near the back end of the lake there are many different types of trails - downhill / climbs. There are some sections with rock gardens and big roots. There are no madmade table tops, ladders or log piles etc.. but there is a fast paced flowing singletrack that you can ride all day long. There is a map of the trails at the trail head but trail markings could be better utilized throughout. Some sections are bogged down with water and mud even though it hasn't rained in a while. These sections will not dry up for a while. Overall the trails were fun to ride with very little technical spots. If your out for a good cardio ride this is the place to go.

Is there maps on where to access these trails i find this site great but I cnat find anything on how to get to these trails

These trails are awesome alot of variety and great downhill sections. These trails are maintained by g.o.r.b.a (guelph off road bicycling association) totally independent and just a bunch of people who like to ride well kept trails. ride these ones with respect. Oh and some parts are so technical that i bet you could'nt even ride them. I can though because i'm a local.

i just moved here to guelph and recently found the trails at the lake. they are pretty damn good (not as good as gatineau park, which is what i am used too...). does anyone have a map of the trail systems in guelph? if so pls msg em at haasmr(@)yahoo.ca

To everyone who thinks this trail is bad, you don't know where the good spots are. There is fairly good stuff to ride on it if you stay off the main part. There are more technical spots too if you know where to look.
