Trail Description:
Canal loop is usually dry and rocky with rolling hills and a few short steep climbs. There are many trails branching off from the side that go back to the parking lot, so you can vary the distance you ride. It is a fun and fast trail that is reccomended for anyone in the area.

How to get there:
The trail is located in Land Between the Lakes recreation area. Park at the North Welcome Center and the trail begins across the road on the east side of the parking lot and ends on the west side.

Additional Notes:
Bathrooms and drinking water are available at the site, and there is a spring race there every year

Over the past year the Canal Loop traffic has increased significantly. It's still a fun trail but the amount of roots that are showing now has taken a lot of the fun out of it. It's still a great trail and we ride it once or twice a week when the weather is right

Just spent the weekendd riding the Canal Loop. An awesome trail! Very well maintained and marked. Good for both expert and beginner.

Don't forget about the other "half" of this trail. After completing the canal loop section continue on the North/South trail for another 24+ miles of single track through the Ozarks. With enough elevation change to keep things interesting and enough scenery to make the stops memorable this trail is a great point to point ride.
