Trail Description:
Crushed limestone trails allow for excellent drainage after rains. Some decent uphills with switchbacks will add a bit of challenge. The trails are primarily used by hikers and runners. The area is very senic and the wide open trails are excellent for speed. But be mindful of other trail users and always ride in control. Ttechnical skills are not required making this an ideal spot for novice or first time riders.
How to get there:
Take River Road off of Ill-Route 176 to park enterance. An alternative is to take Route 31 to Bull Valley Road, turn east. Then take Bull Valley to River road, take a Right. Follow the road to the park enterance.

This is a great place to ride if the weather's been wet and you don't want to contribute the ruts at places like Deer Grove. There's plenty of trail to get a good workout and the hills provide a mild challenge.

A good place for an easy spin. The Red Loop is 3.7mi and is a great place for working on long gradual climbs. Beginners will want to start in the Lake Defiance lot in order to tackle the hill first. For a good burn park at Hickory Ridge or Pine Hills to hit the biggest hill climb last. The Blue Loop is a relatively flat 3.2mi cruise.
