Trail Description:
This is the ultimate weekend warrior trail. When you think of mountain biking in Michigan this is as good as it gets. Very tight and technical with lots of fun stuff to keep your attention. Don't miss the Teeter Totter, it's an added bonus. This trail is very compact and fun to ride. If you are advanced you can hit the trail at speed and it will challenge the hardest core of riders. Constant elevation change and some great drop ins and whoops. This trail is tucked away and is never very busy. Loads of fun for the whole family - as long as their good bikers!
There is a park with frisbee golf and playground equipment for the little ones and a nice picnic area to boot. Good restroom facilities are available and there is a fee to park of $2. This trail is the best groomed trail available in southern Michigan. Well marked and loads of fun.
How to get there:
Take US131 South through Three Rivers and split off on M-60 west. Follow M-60 through Jones until you see the sign that says Dr TK Lawless park. Turn left and follow the signs to the trail head and parking area.

Fun 10 mile trail. No long climbs but plenty of
opportunity to hammer 2 loops. Lots of twists and
turns, well marked and easy to follow the trail.

Thankfully the park returned from it's black hole adventure yesterday (it does exist). Tore me a couple new ones, greatly humbled me and I had a great time! Still sandy in all the wrong spots, plus some larger logs keep you on your toes.

One more thing -- i never rode the trail before the
tornado damage, but the official tally from the Cass
County Parks dept is now a 10 mile trail. Also
comming in the next few years there will also be a
swimming area and beach built on the park, so you
can go for a refreshing swim after your ride.

This trail starts off with alot of curves..... lots and
lots of curves... many many curves! There are lots
of small up and down hills, but not many intense
climbs. Also, I found lots of sand at horrible places
(usually at the bottom of a hill, or on an upward
climb). However, sand is usually only a big problem
when riding with multiple people closely. This trail
is covered with roots... the land scape is very veiny,
making it a nice bumpy ride for a loose full
suspension bike. All in all a good trail, just needs
some more technical portions. On the "area 2"
portion of the trail, once you are in the trail, there
are no good exit points if you are injured... you
kinda gotta complete the 7 mile loop before you
get off.

this is an awesome trail. the uphills are leg burning and the downhills are leg rattling. watch out for the the bikers that think they're buff, they'll try to run you over!
