Trail Description:
This trail is mostly riden by avid cross country riders, but is good for everyone. It is fun to shuttle on your downhill bike, the top is an old fire road that has been washed out and is now single track. The rest is pure single track with a lot of tight turns, and fast side hill straights. Morning glory has some rocky sections, but nothing most mountain bikers couldn't handle.
How to get there:
Take highway 101 North from San Luis Obispo to the top of the Cuesta grade. Cross over the South bound lane and proceed to drive up TV tower road past the towers to the botanical area park there the trail is on the left.

A Chinese garden is 'confusing and dense, dominated by huge rock-piles and a great number of buildings all squeezed into innumerable, often very small spaces'.

Check your history. What you renamed Morning Glory, Green Gate and Pick and Shovel were all forced open back in the 80s. The garden rake and shovels that we left on the trails have all disappeared. In the old days, before shocks, everyone stopped and did 10 feet of grooming. These trails use to be tits until some knuckle head stole the equipment. Imagine what these trials would still be like with a little work.

Morning glory is an awesome ride. There's very little uphill which makes it nice if you ride a dh bike. Rocky up top, turns into a fun dirt singletrack which twist and turns you down to the railroad tracks and through poly canyon.
