Great for single speeds. Great for speed and then also has great hills that will make you work for it.

Rode this yesterday and loved it. It is plenty long and one section leads to another making for a ride of about 60-75 minutes all together. Plenty of everything and well marked. Jumps, drops, fast stretches and climbs. My favorite in the area.

Lock 4 is a blast and has a little bit of everything for XC riding. Nice place to learn how to ride some minor switchbacks and good ole fune single track. Very good signage except were to exit! Water is very close on sections 4-8.

Lock 4 is a great ride. I went there not knowing what shape it would be in after the storms. I found it in fine shape unlike the poor folks down the way. The start of the trail is perfect for breaking in new folks to the sport. There's plenty of natural suroundings to calm the soul. It's just a clear, wide single track that begs for speed. Watch out for the elbow turns by the lake or you may get wet!

This was the first trail I ever rode, back in 2003. The rocky hills on Sec 1-2 made it difficult for me (I'm a clydesdale), but you sure learn quickly how to hill start or walk it up. Great trail, great scenery, just a few bumps and bruises -- bring eye protection for low branches.
