Trail Description:
The Michigan Tech built xc ski trails are used for biking in the summer. THere are miles upon miles of trail and of the several times I've been there I have never taken the same path twice. Vairing terrain... lots of nice smooth fast single track but plenty of technical stuff as well
How to get there:
Off of sharon avenue behind the college there is an access road that will take you to the trail head. It is right across from the back entrance to the football field

Considering they're completely student-built on very little funding, these trails are excellent for local riders. Always adding. Dirt jumps, bridges (Pipeline is over 100 yards), hucks.

The site comments that there are 555 miles of trails. They are great trails but only about 8 miles of trails!

Scenic Beauty.
It ‘rocks’ when you enjoy a good trail.
Say, have you checked out the Trail Advocacy link just on the left listed under the Trail Guides heading? Please remember it’s only as good as the effort that’s put into making it that way and it can disappear tomorrow. Please do your part. Thanks

This trail has some of the best riding in Michigan. It can get confusing, even with a map so try to find a local, most of the college kids would be happy to ride with you and they are very helpful. A lot of the north shore stuff is gone loke the 15 footers and the dragon, but you can still have a lot of fun nomatter who you are.

The trails are not even a mile from Tech's campus, but a large hill stands in your way if you are going to ride from campus. There is parking right at the trails and there is some North Shore stuff towards the east if you enter at the XC ski entrance. Been riding up there for three years now. Great place for experts and beginers to ride together.

I started out riding on these trails 2 years ago, shortly after we bought a house right next to the trail head. Since then i have been out there everyday during the summer for 2-4 hours and i never get board. There is so much variety you have to see it to believe.
