Trail Description:
Nice scenic crushed limestone path along Illinois/Michigan Cannal and River tow path. Many starting locations between Joliet and LaSalle/Peru (over 50 miles). Future trail plans to connect to Lockport section and Hennipen Cannal Path, which continues to the Quad Cities. Great place for long easy rides.

How to get there:
I-55 South to Rt. 6, Channahon exit. Go West several miles follow sign to I&M Cannal, turn left. Main Parking lot a few blocks on right.

Additional Notes:
Interesting Locks and Aqueducts, Forest Preserves, camping, etc. along the trail.

It's nice because it's a scenic historic trail. There's no action at all but there is alot of interesting historic things you can see and learn.

The most booring trail on the planet no turns at all you can close your eyes and ride. Long hall and very very boooooring.

loooooooooooong ride goes on forever pretty boring though good senic ride but thats about it be sure to bring a BIG hydro pack cause its a haul
