Trail Description:
This is a nice trail to start on. It has a couple of bumps and a lot of mud holes. If you love moutain biking this is a good trail. There is one stream that doesnt have a bridge. Its only about 3 inches deep and most people will be able to ride through it.
How to get there:
If your on 80 go West. Get off on Exit 34B North. Follow 15 North all the way to Newton, Ogdensberg sign. At end of ramp make a Left. Keep on the road. You will go through a series of 8 lights. At the last light turn right at the Right Aid. Go down the street untill you see a flashing light and make another right onto Trinity Street. Go down the hill. At the bottom you will see a small guard rail. There is a small dirt lot right there. Turn in. The trail is right there You cant miss it.

It has been really ftaanstic to have a professional work with the children. They have enjoyed the club so much and the parents talk about how keen and enthusiastic their children are when they get home. It is really exciting to have the eco-schools awards to work towards as well, this teaches the children the importance of issue such as: energy biodiversity and seasonal food. I recommend it whole-heartedly!

I rode the Kittitinney to Lafayette section and it's a very nice ride. Suitable for a beginner or a family. Flat somewhat scenic but definitely not a weekend warrior destination.

This was overall a great trail. This is only a 'beginner' trail if taken in sections. My 2 friends and I recently made the 42.4 mile round trip from Byram to Branchville and back, and there is no way a casual biker could have made the trek. The trail is predominantly flat, and parts of it are packed gravel from the age-old railbed which used to run through it. Some of the trail, though, has everything from loose rock to swamp mud to "bearly a trail at all" to forge.
Great for a day trip with your family, but running the whole trail is left for more experienced endurance riders.

An excellent trail to teach your kids on ... or to just ride for a while, but definitely not a Weekend Warrior ride.

Definately NOT a weekend warriior trail. My 9 year old daughter rides this as does my wife. This is clearly a BEGINNER trail. tip for riding RR balast rocks on northern section, get ur butt off saddle and GO FAST over that section. addopt this trail, if you packed it in, PACK IT BACK OUT TOO
