Trail Description:
Most of the trail runs paralell to the west bank of the Des Moines River, it's mostly single track cross country style with a lot of trees, some sandy terrain and lots of technical turns. There are several loops along the trail that are very chalenging and can add an extra 2 miles. The Brickyard area is rocky and steep, it used to be a brick yard (hence it's name).

Part of the trail is submerged under the river during the early spring, so it is wiser to ride when it's dry. The Brickyard sits a few feet above the river bank and the loop trail there can be very technical with a few very steep areas.

How to get there:
To get there take Euclid ave. to Martin L King Parway, park your car in the Target Store lot and go from there.

Additional Notes:
Bring plenty of water in the and beware of deer on the trail.

This is a great trail for runners too. I ran for 2 hours and 15 minutes today on the trails and is a Mecca for people wanting to train for long distance trail races.
