Trail Description:
Karst Spring Trail is an awesome bike trail with steep, technical climbs and some knarly downhill sections. This trail is actually located in the Isquassum Lake campground. The first half of the trail winds its way along a cliff face that gives you a good view of the "Grass" River. There are many rock gardens and tree roots that you have to cross which can make for some pretty tough going. The trail then goes down the cliff face( its really one drop off after the other) and you end up at Karst Springs. Karst Springs actually runs out from under the cliff that you have just ridden down and into the grass river. This is a very scenic location and is a good place to take a rest and check your bike over. I bent my rear rim when I went down this trail! The last part of the trail that makes the loop back to the campground is relatively smooth so you can make good time going back.

How to get there:
From Swan River, Manitoba, take highway #10 North. About an hour or so from the Pas this highway intersects with highway #39. Turn onto highway #39 and the Iskwasum Lake campground is about 45 minutes from there so watch for the sign. Once you arrive at the campground go down to the boat launch. The trail entrance is infront of the washrooms and is marked by a large sign.

Have fun!

Additional Notes:
Iskwasum Lake offers excellent Walleye and northern pike fishing. The campground is well maintained.
