Orange and Purple trails were tough and technical. If you don't own a stair master, you might want to consider training first before tackling climbs. Even the horses were tired trying to asend these trails. It was fun, challenging and wet. The guy that says you get wet in the other comments...yeah, that was a slight understatment. Bring an extra pair of clothes and shoes. You are gonna need them. The water felt great on the day I was there since it was hot. The people on the trail were great and friendly. I highly recommend this place and will being going back for another work out tomorrow. Oh...make sure you pack an your pump and a tube. The rocks are sharp. I didn't lose a tire, but I could certainly see how you could.

I ride this trail a couple times each month. As people have said before, there are less people on the west side of the trails, but it is more technical. You usually have to walk up hill part of the way because of big and loose rock. When you get to the top there are some great views of the area. The downhills are fast and also have big and loose rock, so what I am getting at here is don't ride the west side if you don't like riding on rock. If it has rained in the past week you are probably going to get your feet wet from all of the creek crossings. It's a great trail, the best one there in my opinion is the purple trail.

Your going to get wet, had to cross a beautiful creek 10 times. Trails were awesome, suprises around every corner. camped over night, awesome camp sites need a permit go to http:// www.mostateparks.com/campres.htm to reserve a spot. no bathroom or showers but smooth spots with fire pits. other campers and bikers were very friendly. will go again.

Tried this trail for a fun ride, recommended by several. It was wonderful. We tried the Orange loop at the west end of the park heading back. Wasn't able to ride much of that loop--at least for an intermediate rider. Had a blast though!!

For a hillier ride, west of 65 is the place to be. Go past the shooting range & the trail branches (white & Purple). Purple is a flatter ride and white branches itself a little further down - stay right where the white trail forks. There are a couple bad spots going up (basically unridable) but it does shape up into a nice hard ridable climb. At the top, it levels and then starts down the backside of the hill - good stuff here too but I didn't go all the way down. Lots of forest back here and a heavy canopy. Bring your water and bug spray

Great trails, great workout, great views! I had to share the road with a lot of horses and hikers on the trails on the east side of 65. If you want the trail to yourself, and are willing to climb till your lungs bust open, then head past the shooting range on the west side of 65. The trip up might kill you, but the ride down will convince you that you are in heaven. Good tip: Learn to ride fast on loose rock. Some of it is the size of rip-rap!

The climbing is awsome. The view is sweet.
