Trail Description:
Winding, twisting, rolling, exhilerating, drenching, challenging, changing. This local's favorite is about to get a bit more user friendly as basic loops are being officially designated for mountain bikes and signed this spring, thanks to the local chapter of WORBA (Wisconsin Off Road Bicycle Association).

How to get there:
Exit 1-43 at University Ave. Take a left at first light (County N). Follow N around curve and up a small hill. Drop right, down Baird Creek Road. You may drive to top of sledding hill to park ("upper lot"), or follow road another 1/2 mile or so and park on right at "lower lot". Now that you're here, go get lost.

Additional Notes:
Bring a sense of adventure when you come. The best way to learn the trails is by trial and error.

Up until two years ago I had live in green bay all my life and from early middle school to after high school spent A TON of time year round at bairds creek. my friends and I spent hours upon hours riding those trails from one end to the other there is nowhere I would rather spend a summer day. There's miles upon miles of trails on both sides of I43 and some in between. For your first time out if you don't have a keen sense of direction I would recomend sticking to the main trails or go with someone familiar with the trails. If you like an adrennaline rush (I'm not sure of the condition of the trail currently but...) give "THE IMPOSSIBLE" a shot. From the main upper parking lot go over by the ski hills to the last hill just past the fence is a steep and I mean STEEP rutted hill that I have seen few people conquer but many be conquered by it! Have fun I know I can't even begin to describe the amount of fun i've had out ther!!!

Pretty rad. There seems to be less party pukers and Maniac Latin Desciples in the past couple years. Small ladders showing up and not getting torn down by losers. Actually, less bikers too. I guess the trendies have moved on to Wii or something.

Great set of trails- most are on the east side of I43. There are a few good runs across the street from the lower parking lot (north side of baird creek parkway) give them a try. Try to go with someone how knows the trails your first few times and you should have a great experience!

I am from Indianapolis. Very nice trails throughout park. Nice up and downs and lots of singletrack. The trails are not marked but you can find your way around fairly well.

I live next to Bairds Creek and am in favor of the trails being used for both hiking an biking. To my surprise yesterday after a long hike with my husband (we had run across several bikers along the way) a friend of my next door neighbor dragged a deer stand down the trail we just hiked with his bow and began hunting. I was furious! I will get to the bottom of this! Why the city would allow hunting in a parkway trail system meant for bikers and hikers? This is just insane.

Always a good time at Baird. Great for everyone. Though there are some rable rousers for the most part most are courteous and I've never had a problem.

I'm big into mountain biking but I live next to bairds creek. It's a great time and tough at spots. Like previously stated the north side is for the beginners and the south side is thicker with foliage and has some steep banks. I have been on the trail hundreds of times and have never seen paint ballers.I have seen paint damage to the bridges but i think this guy must of hit a bad bunch of kids.

i have been a few really hard trails but yet this one still has some parts that get me and probably the most fun part of this trail is the sand traps

bairds creek is pretty good it has a lot of fun areas i ride just about every trail there. The only problem with it is that there is pot heads, tree huggers, latno gangs and pervits.but what pisses me off the most is the paint ballers they ruin are briges and shoot at u when u come therw on ur bike i think the paint ballers are a pain in the ass and they shoud be chased out.

Bairds Creek is a great trail, But i don't know whare all the trails are yet. It would be great if someone made a map of Bairds Creek, but still a great trail. Calumet Park in Hilbert and both Kewanee trails are other great trails
