Trail Description:
There are actually three trails in the North Escarpment trail system; the Packhorse creek trail, the J.E.T. trail, and the Bald hill Creek trail. Ride one of them down the Manitoba Escarpment and take a different one back up. While not too technical, it is a long descent down the escarpment which is steep at times, and the climb back up can be greulling on a hot day. Watch for moose and black bears.
How to get there:
Take Hwy. 19 (gravel) East from Hwy. 10. For about half an hour. The trailhead is on the north side, near the top of the escarpment.

Ride the JET down and then burst the lungs and bust the thighs climbing back up the Bald Hill Trail. The total diatance is around 15 kms. Like the man states- WATCH OUT FOR BIG MOOSE AND SQUIRREL ( AND BEARS). While in this neighborhood head a little further east on Highway 19 and ride the Gorge Creek Trail. If you blink at the trailhead and miss the NO BIKES sign, Oh well. This trail is a real rush down and up. Some ride it both ways or you can scoot down and ride Highway 19 back up (gravel road). Happy trails! Oh yeah, you may come across DASH and DUSTY along the way.
