This was a perfect trail for a family ride. The trail was wide enough for two to ride next to each other in many spots, there were a few fun downhills but nothing difficult and nice scenery along the way. The museum and canal ruins were very interesting. There is about a half mix of shade and sun, opportunities for speed and a few spots to kick some dirt up. Bridges were built in places that needed it. We usually hit Harris Lake which is local and an intermediate trail but we will go back to the canal trail for a more family oriented ride.
