Trail Description:
This is a very easy ride. If you're out for your first ride or introducing someone to the sport, this is the place to go.
How to get there:
In Greensboro, take Lawndale Drive North. Just after crossing over the dam, you'll see a small gravel parking area to the right.

Darryl, don't jump in the lake because it is full of petroleum. The train is really quite nice and as long as you keep you're speed up you should be fine. There are some large roots but nothing too bad.

This is a fun track. You can keep up your speed trough most sections. The bridges are a nice touch, but coming back on the cource, I was carrying to much speed to hit some of the bridges, but there is ample room to go around if it hasn't rained recently. Very nice cource. Not much parking though.

This is a good out and back and the degree of difficulty changes dramatically depending on how hard your pace is. Be careful not to lull yourself into to much speed or confidence as you get lakeside though or you meet a tree. Also be sure to finish the last leg of the trail across the lake to Plainsville Rd. Many riders miss this and don't get the full distance out and back.

Lots of roots but this trail has a nice flow to it. The wife did it on one of her first trips out on a hard tail. Keep up your speed over the root monsters and you'll enjoy the ride. Good Summer ride because of the shade and you can fall in the lake if you fell the need.
