Trail Description:
This multi-use trail sees horse and pedestrian traffic on most days. Bikers from Manila frequent the area midweek and weekends. The trailhead is right by the national highway but is easy to miss unless you're with someone who's ridden it before. The trail is downhill singletrack for the first 30 to 40 minutes until you get to a dirt road that you'll probably be on for 10 to 15. Be careful on this stretch and watch out for horses, cattle AND pedestrians. The singletrack is relatively smooth but has some rocky chutes and switchbacks. It's a blast to ride if you're looking for a cool downhill run. Unless you like pedaling steep climbs, hire a jeepney back to the trailhead. Cost is PhP 600 ($12) for a group of 4-5 per jeep.
How to get there:
From Manila, take South Superhighway and exit at Santa Rosa. Turn right towards the Coca-cola plant then follow the main road until you reach Tagaytay (there's a market right before the junction). Turn right and follow this highway past the roundabout. Go past the Tagaytay/Nasugbu boundary arc and look out for an undeveloped housing subdivision on the right side (it's fenced off so you'll have to park outside). Make sure to talk to the guards before you set out. The trailhead is 1-2 clicks further south (the direction you were heading). Look for a house on the left side with an elevated water tank. The trailhead will be on its left. Happy trails!

The locals are just getting used to seeing bikers in pads and helmets bombing down their trails.
