Does anyone still ride the Brig Trail? i'm 2 for 2 on getting lost on it. it's in decent shape. it wouldn't take much to get it back into shape...

Still a good trail, however there is some new road construction that has made the area near the LMCC even more confusing. Crossing the creek is DIY.

First off, well done to those who have kept this rideable. The first half is marred with deforrestation and clearings that steal the serenity from a good ride. The second half is definately better. I wouldnt go out and try this one for the first time alone--too many switches and clearings that are confusing. That being said, you can have a good time tackleing the turns and obstacles. I prefer the new river trail.

HOLY F*ING CRAP! The hippies are right. Urban sprawl and encroachment have carved out a huge chunk of the trail! Okay, maybe not huge... but there is now a PonyBoy "As I stepped out into the bright sunlight," section where it doesn't belong. Rats!!!

Brig trail is now up to about 6.5 miles. New sections have been added along with a few new obstacles (a few jumps and another large log). Trail has been well maintained over the years and is a good technical trail. Has a couple steeps, plenty of logs, and few fast sections. Has 2 long bridges (caution on these, some are in need of repair). Good ride for flat land area.

Will be in Jacsksonville on 1/6/07 and will be there for 2 weeks. I plan on trying out the trail. I'm from west NC. Had to pick a rating...never rode it before

The first time I rode this trail was just before my first race, it is really fun, but try to get to it just after rain as the sand gets packed down. this trail has a nice combination of logs jump, ramps, skinnys, mud, sand, Abig hand to jeff and the other down east cyclists who built this trail, the new mile is verye nice, it has a nice ladder drop and gully hill.
