Trail Description:
This is an old railroad bed from the gold mining days with a short piece of single track. Basically follow the main trail and switch backs till you get to the 4 wheel drive road that takes you above tree line to the top of Argentine Pass. The climb is an easy one with minimal technical parts. The altitude will make it more difficult for those that aren't accustomed. A fun ride back down!

How to get there:
From Denver take I-70 west to the Silver Plume exit. Go down ramp turn left then first right onto a gravel road used for parking at the Georgetown Railroad. Park and then ride up the road to the first left which is marked by the forest service. All up hill from there.

Some serious loose rock to grind through past Waldorf, outside of that its a great trail for climbing. Hold on for a fast, rough descent. Awesome views above treeline

Not a technical ride but one of my favorites. It becomes a great ride after you go above Waldroff to 13,400'. need to ride it early in the day to avoid the weather. awesome in the fall.
